Debt, Recession, Broken Resolutions?! There’s still hope…

Belated Happy New Year! Ok, so I haven’t posted in a little while, time has seemingly run away with all the festivities etc. So we are well and truely back into it – 2009 is here and so are we. Wherever we are whatever we are doing whoever we are. Has much changed? Probably not, the economy is a little worse our jobs a little less certain and those heartfelt intentions for new year resolutions fraying at the seams??!!!

Enough already! I’m not trying to bring you down, far from it. I do have this point to make though. We do face ‘uncertain times.’ If starting your own business was a new years resolution dont let it go the same way as all the others. The main reason resolutions fail is the all or nothing approach. The crash diets, the abstinence from alcohol, over zealous targets. Don’t take the same approach with your online business. I took a good few years toying with the idea, learning little by little, being sceptical and making excuses. Ok, I don’t recommend taking this long but the main thing is I didn’t give up. Despite the only few people I told casting doubt over my plans I listened to something inside.

So STOP. Don’t take the all or nothing approach. If you are not earning $15,000 a month in 30 days from now, don’t be disillusioned, don’t throw in your hand and curse at your luck…keep at it. Break it down into small manageable targets…and recognise how far you have come to date. If you have come this far you are already in the select few who want to take control of their destiny and not rely on others to decide it for them.

$95k in 30 days…make money online

Sound familiar?!?! Ok, maybe a tad exagerated but thinking about it, probably not.  Garbage like this lures people in who are usually suffering with desperation to make an extra income.  These are the very people who can’t afford to part with however much they are being asked to.  Legal? I’ve never looked into it, I guess so if they put an earnings disclaimer in.  Ethical?  Certainly not.

“Patience is a virtue….”  “slowly slowly catchy monkey!” These may sound equally as familiar but carry a hell of a lot more weight.  Although we don’t like it at times, results take time and effort but achievements are always worth it.  Do yourself a favour when you are next tempted to spend money on rediculous claims for easy money…stop and put on your sensible hat.  Instead use your time, energy and money to start your own online business, step by step.  Don’t be disheartened.  Success is there to be had but all it asks is you play fair and give a little effort in return.  Then things WILL get easier as the snowball effect kicks in, the first step is the hardest.
